It acts on the cell wall system or cell membrane system of bacteria, fungi and algae by combining with cell membrane phospholipid compounds, quickly breaking through their membrane system, causing the outflow of intracellular substances from the bacteria and inhibiting the activities of certain enzymes attached to the cells, thus achieving antibacterial and anti-mold effects. This product has low toxicity and can be used for a long time. Compared with polyhexamethylene monoguanidine, this product has better antibacterial effect on fungi and yeast. Antibacterial principle
The guanidine group of polyhexamethylenebiguanide hydrochloride (PHMB) is highly active and can make the polymer positively charged, which can be easily adsorbed by all kinds of bacteria and viruses that are negatively charged, thus inhibiting the division function of bacteria and viruses and making them lose their reproductive ability, plus the film formed by the polymer blocks the respiratory channel of microorganisms and makes them suffocate and die quickly. bactericidal ability.
